It is just the beginning of the heat of summer and I’m in misery sweating through my dress shirt and suit. I guess I’m glad lawyers no longer have to wear those ridiculous wigs or any other old English silliness, but having to wear a suit jacket during summer seems ridiculously stupid.
The rule of formal dress attire really only applies to men. Women lawyers get away with stuff men could never dream of, like sleeveless shirts and shorts/skirts (yes, I would put on a skirt if that’s what it takes to get some skin exposed fresh air). I’m not trying to complain to much; I am always in favor of women showing skin! I just wish I could be doing the same…
